Swine Flu Update --------------------
The Napavine School District, along with all other schools in Lewis County, will take part in the H1N1 School-Located Immunization Program. This is an opportunity for your child to receive the vaccine for the H1N1 Virus free of charge. Vaccinations should be available to Napavine students in late November or early December. The Health Department requests that you first attempt to obtain the vaccination from your health care provider before seeking access to the school-based vaccinations. Be aware that the H1N1 flu virus is all around us in Lewis County. Napavine School District is following the Health Dept. guidelines and is taking many precautions: disinfecting tables, desks, door handles and requiring students to wash hands regularly. We are asking parents to keep children home if they are experiencing sickness, especially fever. Remember to keep your student home for 24 hours after he/she is fever free without medication. All these precautions will help reduce the spread of sickness.
We will continue to keep you updated as we receive information. If you have questions, please contact the your child’s school or the district office.
